Lemon-caraway seed cookies
Ingredients: for 35 pieces150 g sugar
65 g butter
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 coffespoon ground caraway seeds
1 coffespoon baking soda
pinch of salt
150 g flour
Preparation:
- Mix the flour, salt, soda and caraway seeds.
- Beat the yolk and sugar until becomes white foam.
- Add the butter too and mix them.
- Add the flour and lemon to the mixture gradually.
- Knead with hand gently until mixture forms a smooth ball.
- Form a roller of the dough, thickness: 3 cm.
- Freeze it for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 170 Celsius (340 F).
- Slice the roller about 7 mm cookie rounds and put them on the baking sheet.
- Bake on the center shelf of the oven for 8-10 minutes.
- Transfer cookies with a cake shovel to a wire rack to cool.
